The Maine School Nutrition Association (MSNA) respects the privacy of its members and other visitors to its website. MSNA strongly believes that if electronic commerce and online activities are to flourish, consumers must be assured that information provided online is used responsibly and appropriately. What Information Does MSNA Collect?

Most data MSNA collects are used only to help MSNA better serve its members. It is our general policy to collect and store only personal information that our members and visitors knowingly provide. From General Users

MSNA does not collect any personal information from users browsing its website. Users to the public areas of MSNA's website browse anonymously. Only aggregate data—such as the number of hits per page—are collected. Aggregate data are used only for internal and marketing purposes and do not provide any personally identifying information.

From MSNA Members, Conference Registrants, and Other Customers

To gain access to Members Only resources and personalization features on the MSNA website, members and other users may be asked to register and provide limited information. These data are submitted voluntarily.

What Information Does MSNA Collect from Children?

While certain portions of MSNA's website may include content suitable for children under the age of 13 (individually a "Child" and collectively "Children") to learn about nutrition, MSNA does not knowingly collect any personal information about Children.

Children can browse MSNA's website and view content without any personal information being collected. If MSNA becomes aware that a Child has entered additional personal information in a feedback form, such as a first and last name and/or email address, such information will be deleted from MSNA's systems. If MSNA becomes aware that it has inadvertently collected personal information from a Child in any other manner, the information will be deleted as soon as practicable.

MSNA Member Services and Products

Generally, MSNA uses collected information to improve website content; respond to visitors' interests, needs, and preferences; and develop new products and services.

MSNA may make select member contact information available through an MSNA Member Directory to other members using its website or to registered conference attendees, where appropriate.

MSNA may also provide limited information to carefully selected third parties offering products or services relevant to school nutrition professionals.
